個人介紹:

陳雪梅教授1988年獲得北京大學生物學學士學位,1995年獲得美國康奈爾大學生物化學博士學位,随後在加州理工學院進行博士後研究。她于1999年在羅格斯大學瓦克斯曼研究所擔任助理教授,于2005年晉升為副教授,并獲得羅格斯大學董事會學術卓越研究獎。她于2005年轉至加州大學河濱分校,任副教授,2009年晉升為正教授,2013年晉升為講席教授。自2023年2月起,任beat365官方网站講席教授、院長。2006年獲美國植物生物學家協會頒發的查爾斯·阿爾伯特·舒爾獎,2011年當選為AAAS研究員,2012年至2018年任HHMI-GBMF研究員。2013年當選為美國國家科學院院士。2018年獲得了南加州華裔科學家和工程師協會的成就獎。2023年獲美國植物生物學家協會頒發的Martin Gibbs Medal. 2024年獲得求是基金會的傑出科學家獎。她的研究方向是花的發育、植物小RNA和RNA修飾。

      早期研究植物花形态建成的基因調控機制,發現與RNA代謝相關的蛋白參與花器官分化。進而發現其中某些蛋白參與小RNA 代謝與功能。之後主要研究小RNA的生物合成, 降解,及作用機制。
目前的主要研究方向之一為小RNA的細胞間運輸機制及作為信号分子調控植物響應溫度變化的機制。第二個主要研究方向為RNA的非典型加帽修飾, 比如NAD, FAD, dpCoA 帽子的加入,去除機制及分子功能。第三個研究方向為葉綠體發育, 基因表達, 及RNA 修飾。
